 Justine is Poludnica, a demon of disease. She ‘specializes’ in diseases that focus on blistering, blood-vomiting, feverish and generally unsightly things. The main thing is that what she creates is horrifying and plague-like, it destroys a person’s appearance. Another character will generally be slowly effected if around her for a period of time.

If you’re around her for a short while, your character might feel a little under the weather, any longer and they’re going to start getting really sick.

However, Justine’s the sort of demon who doesn’t like to use her Calling. She fights against it and will only end up using if she can no longer control it, or if she’s having a hard time with her meds and she’s panicked and edgy. She’s also still a baby, she’s still adjusting to her Calling, and controlling it isn’t easy. She might find herself using it without meaning to.

So, if you’re ever around her, I have these questions:

1.      Is there anything that might make a character harder to infect or immune to disease? (Humans are easiest to infect, then Supernaturals and Wanderers, then demons, then angels. But, some Wanderers may be immune to diseases thanks to powers from their own world.)

2.       If not, is it okay if your character gets sick?

So upon thinking about it, she might have trouble affecting all of mine.

Abby is an angel. But she's an angel of healing so half the time her immune system is compromised anyway. And I'm not sure if she could heal Justine or not? Because if she can she absolutely, completely will whenever she gets the chance. Or at least when things get really bad. Hmm. Not sure how that will work out, still. I have no issue with Justine getting her sick, just not sure if it'll work that way.


Koschei is a Time Lord. A lot of human or even demonic diseases don't really affect him, or don't effect him as much. She might get him a little sick, but I think he'd have to spend a lot of time around her before he started showing even mild symptoms. If that ends up happening somehow, though, go for it?


River is human, but I would not be surprised if the Academy strengthened her immune system somehow. (Hey, if they can make her psychic they can make her not get sick, because feverish assassins would not be very useful.) So -- Justine can get her sick, but she's going to be another one who's going to be slower than most Wanderers to show it.

Gabe will be hard to infect as an angel, and he's kinda used to getting sick from Abby, even though it doesn't happen as much anymore, but anything he does get off of her I won't mind. Especially seeing as how they spend a lot of time together. I figure we can just play this by ear? I imagine the longer he spends time with her, and the more often, he'll occasionally get under the weather.
